DAY 1 - Cochin

Board your flight as per the schedule and arrive in Cochin.

Cochin (Kochi) is a modified form of the word 'Cochazhi' which in Malayalam means 'small sea'. The major part of the city is at sea level along the coastline of around 48 kilometres. Spread over an area of 94.88 square kilometres, Kochi is the second largest city of Kerala.

Check in to the hotel and relax. In the evening, you may explore the local markets on your own. Enjoy dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel/Resort.


DAY 02 – Cochin

After breakfast, take a sightseeing tour of cochin visit Fort Kochi covering Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis church and a chance to see Chinese fishing nets.

Cochin attract tourists from around the world, Fort Kochi, Bolghatty Palace and the backwaters are major highlights of the city. The city also has a strong inclination towards the arts, and tourists in Kochi can visit places like the Kerala Folklore Theatre where one can watch plays or even spend time at the museum. Also known for its Ayurvedic centres, tourists can indulge in treatments at the many Ayurvedic spas in the city.

Enjoy dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel/Resort.


DAY 03 – Cochin to Athirapally

After breakfast, take a sightseeing tour of Athirapally Waterfalls and forest area.

Popular tourist destination Athirapally is located 70 km north east of Kochi. With a scenery scattered with waterfalls and forests and small streams, its most major attraction is the Athirapally Falls, situated 1000 feet above sea level. An environmental hotspot, this is an area where endangered species of Hornbills are found and the forest division is rich in biodiversity. Declared an “Important Bird Area”, Athirapally may be on its way to being declared a sanctuary soon.


DAY 04 – Athirapally to Munnar – 140 KMS / 4 HRS

In the afternoon proceed for Munnar, a beautiful hill station. On the way, stop at a good restaurant and enjoy a sumptuous lunch.

Munnar: Breathtakingly beautiful, Munnar is a heaven of peace and tranquillity. The idyllic tourist destination in God's Own Country, set at an altitude of 6000 feet in Idukki district, Munnar was the favored summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. Its unending expanse of tea plantations, pristine valleys and mountains, the aroma of spice scented cool air, exotic species of flora and fauna in its wildlife sanctuaries and forests; Munnar boasts of all these and more. It's the place you would love to visit – and never wish to leave.

Upon arrival in Munnar, check in to the hotel and spend time at leisure. You may go to visit the local market in the evening (on your own) and buy aromatic tea from the shops here.    Enjoy a delicious dinner and spend a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel/Resort.


Day 5 - Munnar - Sightseeing

After breakfast, take a sightseeing tour of Munnar visiting the Tata Tea Museum and enjoy the beautiful serenity of Munnar (famous for its tea plantations) (closed on Monday) and Eravikulam National Park to get a view of variety of flora and fauna. In the evening return to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure. Enjoy dinner and a comfortable overnight at the hotel/Resort.


DAY 06 – MUNNAR to THEKKADY (PERIYAR) – 120 KMS / 4 HRS

Morning proceed to Thekkady, set in the heart of the Cardamom Hills of Kerala. A scenic journey past mist capped mountains, spice plantations and open grasslands lined with spectacular waterfalls & delightful trekking trails form the access to your hide way here.

 On arrival check into hotel, refresh yourself & be relaxed. Later depart to enjoy half day sightseeing tour of Thekkady.

Thekkady: India's largest wildlife sanctuary is a dream destination for any tourist visiting India. With its bountiful treasures of tropical flora and fauna, it is the ultimate reservoir of many endangered species and a rich tribal culture. Thekkady is a pleasant heaven on earth for those who love nature in its wild manifestations. Upon arrival check into the hotel and have lunch (personal expense).

In the afternoon, proceed for a boat cruise at Periyar Lake in Thekkady, a soul stirring tour. Thekkady is synonymous with wildlife and nature treks.

Periyar Lake: Located in the heart of the forest, Periyar Lake is famous for fostering a wide species of wildlife. Boating can be enjoyed on this lake, which serves as the reservoir of the dam and provides water to the forest.

In the evening, get transferred to the theatre (non-air-conditioned) to experience the traditional Kalari Show (Optional)

Kalaripayattu: The Orient's treasure trove, a gift to the modern world and the mother of all martial arts. Legend traces the 3000-year-old art form to Sage Parasurama- the master of all martial art forms, credited to be the re-claimer of Kerala from the Arabian Sea. Kalaripayattu originated in ancient South India. Kung fu, popularised by the monks of the Shoaling Temple traces its ancestry to Bodhi Dharma, an Indian Buddhist monk and its Kalaripayattu master.

Get involved in some shopping or opt for an Elephant Ride (on direct payment basis) in the evening.

Return to the hotel in the evening and enjoy time at leisure.

DAY 07 – THEKKADY to ALLEPPEY (HOUSEBOAT) – 175 KMS / 4 HRS

After an early breakfast, check out of the hotel in Thekkady and go for a Spice Plantation Tour which will last for an hour. Later, you may indulge in some spice shopping.

There are various kinds of spices cultivated in Thekkady. The most abundantly found spice in Thekkady is pepper. But there is a variety of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, turmeric and curry leaves on the slanting slopes of the spice plantations in Thekkady.

Alleppey: Although a relatively small island, Alleppey or Alappuzha stands tall amongst the best tourist spots in Kerala. The reason isn’t difficult to fathom once you’ve witnessed the flawless beauty here. Often called the ‘Venice of the East’ owing to its serpentine network of canals and backwaters, Alleppey has grown from being a small town in Kerala to one of its biggest attractions. Much talked about, and not without reason, are the resplendent backwaters of Alleppey. Alleppey is known for its wellness therapies, which include Ayurvedic massages and spas. A day at one of these spas works like magic on your body and spirit, ridding you of tension and negative energy.

Check in to the Houseboat and enjoy the rest of the day in Houseboat.

Alleppey Houseboat: One of the must-do things in Alleppey is to board one of the many magnificent houseboats and go on a cruise of utter pleasure and romance. The exotic backwaters and inland waterways in and around Alleppey provide for some of the most romantic moments. In a fully equipped floating houseboat, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery around in the company of your loved one.

A 4 hour scenic drives through typical Kerala Village, Paddy Field. On arrival check in at Kettuvallam known as a famous Kerala Houseboat. Lunch at Houseboat. Cruise through the unique web of lakes, lagoons, canals and river.  Visit Paddy Field, Kuttanadan Region the only region cultivate rice below sea level. Overnight at houseboat in Alleppey.


DAY 08 – HOUSEBOAT (ALLEPPEY) to KOVALAM – 175 KMS / 4 HRS

This internationally renowned beach has been favorite haunt of tourists since 1930’s. A beach paradise with boundless blue of the Arabian Sea and is a sheltered natural bay. On arrival check in at Hotel. Day free for leisure. Overnight at Hotel in Kovalam.

Kovalam: Located at a distance of around 16 km from the city centre, the name ‘Kovalam’ means a grove of coconut trees, and the beach town stands true to its name, offering an endless view all over the town off the same. The 17 km of Kovalam’s coastline provides a tourist three separate beaches, the Lighthouse Beach, the Hawa Beach, and the Samudra Beach.

In the morning, embark on a sightseeing tour of Thiruvananthapuram which include Padmanabha Swamy temple, Veli Tourist Village, Museum Complex, Science & Technology Museum, Shangmugham Beach and Aakulam boat club etc .

Evening visit the Padmanabha Swami Temple, spectacular Kovalam Beach. Kovalam offers breathtaking backwaters, lush landscapes, coconut palms and pristine beaches. Overnight at Hotel/Resort.

Optional Activities: Ayurvedic Massage, Day Trip to Kanyakumari

OPTIONAL: DAY TRIP TO KANYAKUMARI

Morning proceed to Kanyakumari. Kanyakumari, Confluence of three ocean, Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean & Bay of Bengal. On the way visit Padmanabhapuram Palace, Suceendram Temple. On arrival depart to enjoy a short sightseeing tour of Kanyakumari visiting Swami Vivekananda Memorial, Triveni Sangamam and Thiruvalluvar Statue. Evening witness the spectacular sunset view. Evening return back to Kovalam, Overnight at Hotel/Resort.


DAY 10 – Kovalam

In the morning after breakfast enjoy the day at leisure or indulge in Ayurveda messages or Spa.

Enjoy dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel/Resort.


DAY 11 – Kovalam - Cochin – 4 h 48 min (223.5 km)

Bid farewell to this serene land as your holidays comes to an end as you get transferred to respective Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey back to home.
