DAY 01 - Cochin to Munnar (130 km / 4 hrs)                

Assistance provided by our representative from the moment you arrive at the Cochin railway station or airport. He will escort you to Munnar and on the way you can savor splendid views of tea plantations and small towns, looking beautiful with the backdrop of picturesque lush surrounding. Besides this, you can witness Cheyyappara waterfalls, Valara waterfalls and Attukal waterfalls that are sure to leave you spell bound. Adimali, a wholesale place for cardamom and spices and Pallivasal are other attractions worth exploring.


Munnar: Breathtakingly beautiful, Munnar is a heaven of peace and tranquillity. The idyllic tourist destination in God's Own Country, set at an altitude of 6000 feet in Idukki district, Munnar was the favored summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. Its unending expanse of tea plantations, pristine valleys and mountains, the aroma of spice scented cool air, exotic species of flora and fauna in its wildlife sanctuaries and forests; Munnar boasts of all these and more. It's the place you would love to visit – and never wish to leave.


Upon arrival in Munnar, check in to the hotel and spend time at leisure. You may go to visit the local market in the evening (on your own) and buy aromatic tea from the shops here.    Enjoy a delicious dinner and spend a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel/Resort.

Day 2 - Munnar - Sightseeing

After breakfast, take a sightseeing tour of Munnar visiting the fabulous Mattupetty Dam which proffers splendid views of gushing waters. You can enjoy optional boat drive here. Echo point, well renowned for natural echo phenomenon, the famous Shooting Point where film shootings are organized and Kundale Lake offering shikara boating is included in itinerary. Sightseeing continues after lunch, including a visit to Tea Museum, Blossom Park and Pothenmedu View Point. Following this, sightseeing ends and you can get back to your hotel and relax.


DAY 03 - Munnar to Thekkady (3 hrs / 90 km) 

After the breakfast proceed to Thekkady, on the way visit various splendid attractions, like Pooppara, Vandanmedu, Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and Ankara. Following this, you can check in the hotel on reaching Thekkady. After relaxing for a while you can indulge in exhilarating optional activities, such as elephant safari, Kalari Payette-a traditional martial art form, Kathakali show, Jungle Jeep safari, Ayurveda massage, spice plantation visit and boating in Periyar, you may also indulge in some spice shopping. There are various kinds of spices cultivated in Thekkady. The most abundantly found spice in Thekkady is pepper. But there is a variety of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, turmeric and curry leaves on the slanting slopes of the spice plantations in Thekkady.

     

Thekkady: India's largest wildlife sanctuary is a dream destination for any tourist visiting India. With its bountiful treasures of tropical flora and fauna, it is the ultimate reservoir of many endangered species and a rich tribal culture. Thekkady is a pleasant heaven on earth for those who love nature in its wild manifestations. Upon arrival check into the hotel and have lunch (personal expense).


Periyar Lake: Located in the heart of the forest, Periyar Lake is famous for fostering a wide species of wildlife. Boating can be enjoyed on this lake, which serves as the reservoir of the dam and provides water to the forest.


Kalaripayattu: The Orient's treasure trove, a gift to the modern world and the mother of all martial arts. Legend traces the 3000-year-old art form to Sage Parasurama- the master of all martial art forms, credited to be the re-claimer of Kerala from the Arabian Sea. Kalaripayattu originated in ancient South India. Kung fu, popularised by the monks of the Shoaling Temple traces its ancestry to Bodhi Dharma, an Indian Buddhist monk and its Kalaripayattu master.


In the evening, get transferred to the theatre (non-air-conditioned) to experience the traditional Kalari Show (Optional)


Enjoy dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel/Resort.


DAY 04 - Thekkady to Alleppey (140 km / 3.5 hrs) 

After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel in Thekkady and drive towords Alleppey for Houseboat cruise, which takes you through inland waterways and breathtaking backwaters of Alleppey. There you can enjoy an overnight stay on the houseboat.


Afternoon marks your arrival at Alleppey, where you would be greeted with non-alcoholic welcome drink. Following this, cruise begins, taking through backwaters. Sightseeing includes visits to coconut lagoons, backwater resorts of Alleppey. Journey halts for lunch where Lunch is served and the backwater journey continues again, taking you to C-block, R-block and Rajapuram. Cruise stops in the evening and you can enjoy evening walk in the village. 


Alleppey: Although a relatively small island, Alleppey or Alappuzha stands tall amongst the best tourist spots in Kerala. The reason isn’t difficult to fathom once you’ve witnessed the flawless beauty here. Often called the ‘Venice of the East’ owing to its serpentine network of canals and backwaters, Alleppey has grown from being a small town in Kerala to one of its biggest attractions. Much talked about, and not without reason, are the resplendent backwaters of Alleppey. Alleppey is known for its wellness therapies, which include Ayurvedic massages and spas. A day at one of these spas works like magic on your body and spirit, ridding you of tension and negative energy.


Alleppey Houseboat: One of the must-do things in Alleppey is to board one of the many magnificent houseboats and go on a cruise of utter pleasure and romance. The exotic backwaters and inland waterways in and around Alleppey provide for some of the most romantic moments. In a fully equipped floating houseboat, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery around in the company of your loved one.


Houseboat cruise is the best way to explore the beauty of backwaters, enjoy your evening on the sundeck away from polluted cities and maddening crowd. Overnight stay in the House Boat. 


DAY 05 – Alleppey to Kovalam – 160 KM / 4 HRS

Morning disembark from the Houseboat at boat jetty. Proceed to Kovalam. Kovalam truly capture the essence of Kerala. This internationally renowned beach has been favorite haunt of tourists since 1930’s. A beach paradise with boundless blue of the Arabian Sea and is a sheltered natural bay. On arrival check in at Hotel. Day free for leisure. Overnight at Hotel in Kovalam.


Kovalam: Located at a distance of around 16 km from the city centre, the name ‘Kovalam’ means a grove of coconut trees, and the beach town stands true to its name, offering an endless view all over the town off the same. The 17 km of Kovalam’s coastline provides a tourist three separate beaches, the Lighthouse Beach, the Hawa Beach, and the Samudra Beach.


DAY 06 – Kovalam / Trivandrum

In the morning, embark on a sightseeing tour of Thiruvananthapuram which include Padmanabha Swamy temple, Veli Tourist Village, Museum Complex, Science & Technology Museum, Shangmugham Beach and Aakulam boat club etc . Evening visit the Padmanabha Swami Temple, spectacular Kovalam Beach. Kovalam offers breathtaking backwaters, lush landscapes, coconut palms and pristine beaches. Overnight at Hotel/Resort.


Optional Activities: Ayurvedic Massage, Day Trip to Kanyakumari


OPTIONAL: Day trip to Kanyakumari

Morning proceed to Kanyakumari. Kanyakumari, Confluence of three ocean, Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean & Bay of Bengal. On the way visit Padmanabhapuram Palace, Suceendram Temple. On arrival depart to enjoy a short sightseeing tour of Kanyakumari visiting Swami Vivekananda Memorial, Triveni Sangamam and Thiruvalluvar Statue.


Evening witness the spectacular sunset view. Evening return back to Kovalam, Overnight at Hotel/Resort.
